I got home from Pennsylvania today (business trip.)  Joe's mom was watching Samuel for us - as Joe needed to leave for San Francisco before I could make it home.  I can't tell you how much I missed my little boy.  I didn't realize just how much until the flight home - all I could think about was giving him a huge bear hug...

We parted ways in Phoenix at the rental car return area, as we had to go to different terminals.  I wasn't prepared for that mentally, and it hit me as I quickly had to say good-bye to Joe & Samuel.  The guy swooped up my bags, loaded them on the bus and I had to follow.  I was just "out of sorts" as the bus took off and I watched Joe and Samuel get smaller and smaller in the distance...  :-(

So today - when I got home from the airport, he was napping (so I left him alone) but have to say that I was pacing around the house - just waiting to hear some noise from his room.  When he finally woke up, it was so much fun to just snuggle and giggle.  We played with his choice of toys/books, went to Starbucks, did some grocery shopping, and watched a baby Einstein.  Then I gave him a bath and he later ended up falling asleep on me while we were on the couch.  I LOVE being his mom!  :-)

It will be just the two of us until Joe arrives home on Monday, so I am looking forward to just hanging out with him and getting some good one-on-one time.  Thanks so much to Bonnie for watching him for us!
