6-Month Earthquake Anniversary

Today marks the 6-month anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti... Hard to believe all that has happened in that short amount of time.

We went on a long walk to Starbucks this morning (we decided to give ourselves a break from running...) But the sun was out bright and early and we wanted to get out and enjoy it... We then packed up and headed north to our favorite beach up there (Haena Beach.) It takes about 1.5 hours to get up there - we got there around 10:30am.

The waves were a lot bigger/stronger than they normally are, so we ended up hanging out in an area that had some rocks sheltering the waves. It worked out really well for Samuel as he could play in the sand and also get into the water and manage the smaller waves/currents. And he LOVED it... he loved the waves, water and was content to hang out with his sand toys and play the whole time!

We are now back, showered and taking it easy...
A good day.
A good day to have Samuel "home" ... forever.
