Sun & Fun!

I am tired tonight - but in a good way. We ended up having a nice day at the pool and then got ready to have our family pictures taken... It's funny how this trip is all about meeting people and making connections. We were talking tonight and have decided it's all because of Samuel... he just draws attention and is so "social" that everyone wants to interact with him. Sometimes it's hard because I want him to remain communal... but at the same time, he is very friendly and warms quickly to strangers - sometimes this is concerning to me.

At any rate... today was really fun as the photographer had told me there was a doctor and nurse (husband and wife) who have done a lot of work in Haiti and live right up the street from her. So she and her kids came down to meet us... and they ended up helping us take pictures (getting Samuel's attention, etc...) They are such nice people and as it turns out will be heading the Jacmel, Haiti in the fall to work indefinitely - AWESOME....

We had great fun taking photos and I think there are going to be some really good ones! We will go back on Wednesday and see what we ended up with...

Tonight we decided to try out Keoki's (our favorite restaurant here) because we were already "dressed up and ready to go!" Samuel did fine - but he is a 2-year old... and dinner out is just a lot of work. I KNOW he is good and people tell us that... but to keep him being good requires a lot of work... which means we can't really enjoy our dinner.  However - we did enjoy our Ono fish dinner very much!

Tired out, but going to attempt to put him to bed and watch "Blue Crush"...

  1. Love those smiles and the scenery. Grandpa says as far as dinner out goes, Sam needs to learn "sit" and "Stay" then you will have no problem. I can relate, Joe and I took him to McMinemans and it was a little exhausting, people do love him though and that makes it worth it. Mom #2
