The USCIS officer just called me… he was a very nice person and it was actually pleasant talking with him. I am still shocked this is actually happening after the long ordeal we have been through.
We have an appointment setup for September 22!
They will send a letter to us with a checklist of all the items we need. However, he did say he had most everything in our file already (minus the large sum of cash we need to pay, of course…)
He told me that the plan will be to literally hand us a “Certificate of Citizenship” and we will be by-passing the green card stage. We can then apply for Samuel’s passport once we have this certificate.
Somebody pinch me, please!
