Decent Sleep, Sunny Friday, Starbucks in Hand...

The title pretty much sums up my morning thus far. I consider anything above 5 hours of sleep (even if in segments) a good night! So, last night was in the "good" category, in that Luke's colic fit happened at 11pm vs. 1am, so we got more sleep during the night. We are really struggling with his colic (it certainly is a real thing) and it is so hard to watch this little baby struggle so much and not be able to provide him with much relief. It usually hits him around 1am, which is really hard on us at night (doesn't happen during the day.)

I finally see SUNSHINE outside... crazy as the rest of the USA seems to be going through a heat-wave, we are struggling to make it a day without seeing rain and gray skies. But it looks like the next few days will be mid-70's to mid-80's, which I am so happy about! We are really missing a summer this year... I need some sunshine.

We received a package in the mail from my friend Nicki... some really cute outfits for Luke. It's so fun to find packages waiting - more than anything just to know people are sharing the joy of this little miracle baby. Nicki and I met in Colorado while working on a Dude Ranch one summer (during college.) Fun times... http://www.drowsywater.com/

Joe's b-day is on Sunday...  he turns the big 4-0!  Send him a note if you think about it!  :-)  He needs some harassing.

Enjoy some of the latest photos...

  1. This grandma thinks he is getting cuter every day. And Sam's sweet smile gets bigger. Happy Birthday on Sunday Joe. You are making me feel old.
