We have had a good week overall...
We had Luke's 2-week doctor appointment yesterday. He weighed 6lbs, 9oz! However, we knew he might be a bit heavier, given he has seemed to be a bit constipated - but still - that is sold weight gain and the doctor was very pleased. She checked the basics and then took some blood to check for PKU and 39 other items. It was so funny because she gave us some suggestions for the constipation and as Joe and I were getting ready to leave the office (putting a new diaper on Luke and getting him dressed) he unloaded. :-) Joe and I were laughing so hard... guess we don't need to use the doc's advice anymore.
Mom and dad sent me beautiful flowers... that made my day so bright!
Mom's good friend, Gail sent Samuel and Luke a package filled with fun things! What a super surprise!!! We had so much fun opening it this morning. Thanks so much Gail!
I couldn't resist sharing the baby feet photo... I love little feet!
Other? Joe and I are doing pretty well... there are nights that are worse than others, but for the most part we are doing okay. We are SO GLAD we can both be at home together right now though. Luke is still giving us 2 sections of sleep at night (usually in 3 hour increments) so that is good.
Hard to believe my due date was tomorrow... to think I "could" still be pregnant right now. I am SO GLAD that we are now on the other side of things! It's nice having Luke in our arms vs. having him in me, kicking my ribs. :-)
We were originally booked to leave for Kauai tomorrow (before I found out I was pregnant - we were flying out on my due date and staying in the timeshare.) We were sad to miss Kauai - but very glad to have Luke! And our friend Katie is going in our place, so Katie - HAVE A FABULOUS TIME FOR US!
