This is Dixie’s recent blog post (God’s Littlest Angels Orphanage.) I thought it was worth sharing on my blog because: A) it’s funny but… B) because I think it is important to remind people how much help is still needed in Haiti. There are so many needs – but here is a specific “wish-list” of people Dixie would love to have come volunteer at GLA!
Many times we have stood in the office and said, “Sure wish a volunteer who could do… would come and visit us!” Thought I would share some of our “wish list” volunteers with all of you!
1. Hair Stylist
2. Rat and Bug exterminator
3. A computer network genius
4. massage therapist
5. Chiropractor
6. Physical therapist
7. Plumber…again We have many plumbers that come but we need one for 2 weeks to do all of the things NOT on John and Patrick’s list for FJ! We want a plumber just for the Toddler House and the Main house!
8. handy man just for the main house and Toddler House.
9. Ceramic Tile Installer
Now that I have listed them and God and you all know about our “wish list”, we will see how many of volunteers with these skills will volunteer to come to Haiti!
PS. You see the #1 and #2 priorities, huh? Yup,cutting our hair and getting rid of the rats! LOL
