Linfield Football Day

Joe and Samuel took the trip down to McMinnville today to watch the Linfield football game. On the way, they stopped outside the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, as Samuel loves to see the planes. Joe has been sending me text updates on the score - it is currently Linfield 66, UPS 0 (at it is only the 3rd quarter.) A blowout game... Hopefully it was still fun to watch. If the Wildcat mascot was around, I am sure Samuel had a great time hunting him down! He LOVES the Linfield Wildcats right now - his favorite t-shirt is his Wildcat shirt and he asks us to wash it all of the time. Funny kid.

We got home late (or should I say early) last night... 1am. So we slept in as much as we could, but it wasn't too long, given Luke was hungry and awake. I decided to stay at home today (vs. go to the game) and unpack from our travels...

It is really good to be home, but also sad too. My time with "the boys" is coming to an end, as I start back to work on Monday. I had a sad, self-pity moment today while holding Luke. I know I will be fine once I get back into the routine, but I sure will miss spending time with the kids. This has been one fantastic summer spent together... one I won't ever forget.
