Luke and Samuel each got a package in the mail from Grandma Bonnie and Papa Steve yesterday! And Samuel got another one from Shutterfly too (I made him a photo book...) So he enjoyed opening both of those (thanks so much Grandma B&S!)
Then we waited until Leanne came over (Samuel was watching closely out the window!) Leanne was Samuel's teacher at Bright Horizon's - and he loves her dearly. He has been talking about her coming over for several days now! We try to setup an evening here & there for her to come over, so that he can continue to spend time with her. AND - she also watched Luke for us! So last night was our first official date night without the boys! We only had 2 hours, so we chose to spend it at our favorite pub, in a quiet booth, just visiting. We had no interruptions, no crying and no fussiness! We could actually finish a sentence without having to deal with urp-up's or spills on the table. :-) And given we really didn't have time to "miss" them - we just enjoyed our little bit of freedom.
Other: Luke is getting really strong in his legs! I am sure at his age, that is pretty average, but it makes us really happy... given what he went through as a little tyke! It's good to see him strong.
