Ah... Christmas! (can we take a long nap now?) :-)

We had a really nice Christmas with Joe's folks... so glad they could make the trip over!  (Hopefully we didn't wear them out too much!)  :-)

The kids seemed a bit more "energetic" than usual - I think kids in general, must feel the Christmas spirit around them (even babies!) As much as we work hard to keep the focus on Jesus, things do tend to hit chaos every once in awhile.  And, Luke is now teething and also managed to get a cold, which makes his sleep patterns abnormal.  And Samuel just has "energy to burn" when he isn't in school (and also hasn't been sleeping well.) The excitement of being at home, going to church, opening gifts, being around grandparents and having mixed-up schedules left us all working overtime this weekend!  (But in the end, it's all for good.)

However, Joe and I did get a wonderful gift of a date night, while his parents watched the kiddos... Unfortunately I ended up getting a head cold and didn't feel well, so we cut it short. BIG LONG SIGH... We so needed a night away - so even having those few hours was super (thank you Steve & Bonnie!) We enjoyed church, opening gifts, watching Christmas movies, eating yummy treats and going on a Christmas walk.

Today? I have to admit that we are VERY tired (exhausted might be a better term) after two full weeks of Christmas celebrations... but also COMPLETELY happy and feeling BLESSED. We really had a wonderful time with our family and we are humbled that God gave us good families and these two little boys to celebrate with during this special Christmas season!

Maybe I will hibernate for awhile now...  Oh wait, I can't - it's back to work tomorrow.  Maybe later...  :-)
