At about 4pm, we got a call from Samuel’s school and were told he had “a big goose egg on his forehead.” The director said he was fine – probably more scared than anything – but that he had tripped and hit his head on the floor. Fortunately Joe was done teaching, so he made the trip to pick-up Samuel.
I wasn’t sure what to expect… (blood? concussion? tears? nothing-really-at-all?) Turns out, it’s a pretty big bump!!! (You can see the pictures of it below.) Poor thing. But he seems to be doing okay and was very logical about the whole thing. We iced it and now he is enjoying his bath. And the best thing ever was that there was a box from grandma Sharon when he got home (that sure took the pain away!) :-)

Wouldn’t it figure though… tomorrow night is his first ever school performance (a singing gala) and he is going to have a big lump on his head! Last time it was a fall and scrape on his head right before what was supposed to be his first modeling assignment (clothing advertisement for a store.) I took that as a sign however - and that was the end of the modeling-thing! So...does this mean he should quit singing too?! :-)

Grandma just seems to always know the perfect time to post a package.
