We had another good day on the island... Joe started it out by making waffles with Samuel (a new adventure for him - and one he mastered well.)
We then set off for an incredible hike! We had some amazing views, despite the lack of Olympic Mountains as the backdrop (too much overcast.) But it didn't rain and the sun actually made its way out for a time, which was more than we expected. The hike was pretty tough - and packing an extra 20 lbs was quite a good work-out. Luke slept most of the way in the baby carrier and Samuel "enjoyed the ride" in the BOB. The most amazing part was probably the bald eagle that flew over our heads! We saw him perched on a tree (pictured) and then he flew alongside for awhile - amazingly beautiful!
We then stopped for lunch in a cute fishing town called Coupeville. It was one of those "back in time" little towns and it was a perfect pit stop for us. We then hit the hot tub to give those muscles a much needed break! :-)
The adventures continues...
