We haven't stayed on Whidbey Island before... though we LOVE going to the San Juan Islands, so I know we are going to enjoy it. We decided to "stay-closer-to-home" for Spring Break this year. And rather than spending $$ on plane tickets (and dealing with a very mobile 9-month old!), we would splurge on finding a place w/ water views. I think we found the perfect place! (My guess is that it is probably it is some ex-Microsoft executive's vacation home - and a pretty good deal when compared to other spring break options.)
My normal mode this time of year is "I need sunshine!" However, after packing last night and thinking of the fun new things we get to do, I am truly looking forward to this little getaway... We should arrive this afternoon. The weather isn't looking "wonderful" (we just missed 3-4 very nice days in a row) but that's okay - I know we will have fun.
