Well, we couldn't be happier... this place is perfect! We had a long, but good trip up. I couldn't resist stopping to take these pictures of the Daffodils along the way. We arrived at the "lodge" around 3pm, after stopping at the grocery store. The caretakers showed us around (they live on-site, but in very seperate quarters and were VERY nice, but not at all intrusive - I would honestly be surprised if we see them again...)
We got settled, organized and then decided to walk down to the beach. It's quite a steep path to get down there, but well worth it! Samuel did great hanging onto the railing and taking his time. And wow, what a magnificent beach! The views, privacy, etc... we were in a good mental place down there! Samuel really had a fun time throwing rocks. I could see on a summer day how wonderful it would be just to stay down there all day long...
We then made our way back to the house and made shrimp pasta for dinner (Samuel was a BIG helper with that.) Then Joe and Samuel headed out to check out the hot tub (the views don't get much better than that!)
What a great start to our vacation...
And tomorrow, we get to see the Buettners and Kerderns! YAY... :-)
