Well... I would say our experience with the nanny agency was more than acceptable. I was really impressed with her - very professional, on-time, friendly and left good notes. I am not sure we would get her again (would just depend on the schedule) but if this is the caliber of nannies the agency hires - then I am very pleased! I feel good that we now have that "unknown" process checked off of our list!
Our nanny told me that is the volunteer coordinator for the C.A.S.A program (in the town where Joe and I went to college) and she also still takes on some of the child cases herself. (So I know her commitment to kids is about as good as it gets.) She studied at Universität Innsbruck and has her master's from a college in Spain.
So I have to express a bit of relief... I was skeptical this would turn out okay (but hopeful!) It is truly so nice to know we have another "credible" option out there. Especially given I am traveling again and Joe might need some help in a pinch!
Luke was doing "okay" when I got home this afternoon. He has a REALLY runny nose and not quite himself, but after the last throw-up incident at 8:15am, I think he is doing better. The nanny said he didn't throw-up for her, so that was good news. Hopefully the weekend will give him a chance to rest & recover (and here's hoping that we all don't get whatever he has!)
Happy weekend! :-)
