What a fun weekend so far!
I appreciate that I now have the two beautiful boys and get to be a mother on Mother's Day! AND... the weather is beautiful in Portland this weekend (high 80s!) There is one picture below of Samuel holding up some artwork (for Mother's Day) of his traced/cut-out hands. It says "I love you this much" and has accordion folded paper that stretches out. What a sweet gift!
The swimming pool and Soccerplex are in the same building, which is quite convenient for us (this used to be our old fitness club, but they used it for individual activities now.) Luke got to go in his first "Baby & Me" class with Joe at 8:30am, while Samuel enjoyed his soccer time at 9:00am.
We then got groceries and by 11:15am, we were back at home, having accomplished quite a lot already.
However... FROWN. We had a really hard time with Luke last night - waking up a lot, intense crying, etc... the past couple of weeks have just been rough for him. Everyone has noticed that he hasn't been "himself" lately... He had been diagnosed with thrush last week and today he was grabbing his ears. So I called the doc's office (about to close in 15 minutes) and they said "come right now and we will get him in!" So Joe took him to see if they could figure out what was wrong. Poor thing (once again...) Turns out he has another ear infection in both ears AND the thrush is still there (and it hurts to his mouth to eat, according to the doctors.) So, NO WONDER he was having such an awful time. This poor little guy... I hope he turns out to be one strong man after having such a rough start to life!
Tonight my parents and niece fly in from Kauai... one of us will pick them up at the airport around 11:15pm. I would like to be heading right back out on an airplane bound for somewhere tropical!!!
Very first bath together!
Birthday Card from Great Grandma!
My Mother's Day Gift!
