Joe made it home from Haiti safe yesterday! We were all so happy to have him back with us! My parents watched the kiddos while I went to the airport to pick him up. It was so good to see him walking toward me, out of the security area! (SIDE NOTE: I wasn't sure I was going to be able to pick him up, as we had a 9-1-1 incident with Luke right before I had to leave - but that's another story of its own, and he is thankfully just fine.)
Joe brought Samuel a really cool airplane, so of course this made his little heart VERY happy! And he also brought home some wonderful Haitian items - one of which was a big flag that we all love! We enjoyed catching up and hearing about his time at GLA. It wasn't easy to have him gone for 2 weeks, but we both know the trip was well-worth his time away...
