We left in the morning to visit "LUKE" Air force Base, but when we stopped at the visitor's center, it was a bust. Really nothing for us to view, do or explore... Not even t-shirts! :-( Bummer since we were excited to see something/anything - given we see the F-16 Fighting Falcon's flying over us constantly.
So... we opted to make a trip to the Phoenix Zoo instead. And it turned out to be a good adventure. It's a good kids zoo and we were able to see the sites before it got too hot. The kids did great (minus one Luke meltdown.) I ended up sort of dehydrated, but we made it through and saw some great animal exhibits! I didn't know they had such a great zoo here...
And Samuel got to go on his second camel ride! Who has done that twice before they turn 5 years old?! Boy... is he spoiled or what?! I haven't even been on a camel. :-)
