It was the perfect day to go to the Oregon Zoo... and what made it even more special is that we went there to meet up with Jody and Abby, who are visiting family from California! (Jody is a fellow Linfield alum and we also played on the basketball team together.)
We decided to meet at the zoo when it opened - a super decision, given the crowds were non-existent and most of the animals were out & about. We were able to watch a cool bird show, eat elephant ears (yum!) see Lily the baby elephant, Kya the cheetah, the hippos, 3 cool giraffes and more! So many good sites today. And... Samuel and Abby also got some playin' and wrestlin" time on the lawn (good energy-burner!)
It was great to see Jody and Abby - good friends indeed and we really enjoyed hanging out and catching up!
