Church Picnic @ Alpenrose

What a great day for the church picnic! The weather was fantastic!  Our church does this every year, but we are usually out of town, or just not up for a picnic in "drizzle weather."

But today was perfect - and we were ready to take it on! We enjoyed the sermon from our blanket on the lawn - and then had some lunch (long lines, but I went early to get a place in line and then packed 2 plates with food.) The church had a carnival setup as well, so we went straight to the bouncy-house, which Samuel loved! (Lukie was a bit too afraid of it, but watched intently.)

There was a lot more to do, but Luke was ready for a nap and it was getting pretty hot for little miss Rachel... So we headed home. But it was a really fun event - and - as the kids get older, I know it will get a lot easier to stick around for longer periods of time.
