Rachel's Church Dedication: 10/27

Rachel was dedicated in church this past Sunday (October 27th.) Pastor Randy has now dedicated all three of our kids - very special. My parents were able to make the trip over, as well as Joe's mom and grandma. My sister's kids all came for the reception as well, so that was great.

At first I wasn't sure if I could "take on" having a get-together at our house after the church service, but in retrospect, I am so glad we did it! It turned out so nice; just a casual gathering of friends and family. People came and went, we had some yummy food from the Beaverton Bakery (thank goodness for that or I never would have pulled this off!) And we just enjoyed visiting and celebrating Rachel's special day!

I think the hardest part of the day was keeping the boys (namely Luke) occupied during the 30-minutes before we were called up to dedicate Rachel. We stayed out in the entrance hall until it was time to go inside. And bless my mom for bringing a bag of goodies & fun activities for Mr. Luke! He ended up doing GREAT and when the time came to head up to the front, all the kids did super. As we walked up the aisle, Lukie was pointing up at the big screen (with Rachel's picture) saying: "sister, sister!" He had the whole crowd giggling... SMILE.
