Valentine's Day!

I have never really been that "into" Valentine's Day... in fact sometimes just getting a card to Joe was called "success" in my book. :-) But I guess when you have kiddos, all holidays turn into something special. (Or at least I want my kids to have memories and traditions, so I am trying to make them fun and something we share together, as a family.)

We had a big box from Grandma Sharon - and we had cards + chocolates from Grandma Bonnie (they were just waiting for us to OPEN them!)  so we decided we would celebrate after dinner on the 13th (given our Friday night's are a bit hectic.) And for some reason I decided that I would attempt to make cupcakes for the occasion, which didn't turn out too bad, if I do say so myself!

We had a fun evening and then this morning got all dressed in red/pink - and took Valentine's cards/gifts to the teachers.  And to top things off, I even volunteered in Samuel's classroom today for his v-party!

Wow... so I guess for my usual "non-involved" style - it was quite a V-day!
