A Few Non-Critical Updates

Okay…. So the big news is that we have selected a “school/daycare” for Samuel…  I had done most of the on-line research & some chatting with friends, while Joe took the responsibility of visiting the schools.  So we are going to have him start in mid-August for 2 days per week and then he will go 5 days once Joe starts school teaching.  This isn’t going to be easy, but the good news is that it is close to my work, so maybe I can “do” lunch and/or pop in and say hello on occasion.

Joe is going to do a “trial-run” swim tomorrow in Hagg Lake (cold!)  He got a wetsuit, as he and his 2 friends decided they needed some practice in the coldwater before attempting Alcatraz in a couple of weeks.  I will let you know how they fare!  Have fun Scott, Matt and Joe!!!  :-)

We found out today that Samuel has a CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH (no parasites or worms anymore!)  He still has some blood in his stool, so they are going to do one more test to make sure nothing else is going on with that, BUT I am feeling hopeful for the first time.  FINALLY.

The next 3 weeks are going to be pretty crazy for us.  Between work & personal travel one, both (or all three of us) are in Colorado, Pennsylvania, Arizona and California.  Makes me tired thinking about it (especially any part that entails taking a 2-year old through airport security.)  It’s like adding a difficulty of 10X from what the 2 of us are used to…  we are uncomplicated people in general, but there is just no way to make travel simple with a toddler!
