I am not much of a chef... I would say I have "come into my own" when it comes to cooking over the years. I LOVE to cook... but I just wouldn't consider myself accomplished by ANY means :-)
But one "gift" my mom did share with me was pie-making. She always made the best pies/pie crusts - and I guess I watched her enough and have always felt at ease making them. So I while I was cleaning the house today, I thought "why don't I make a pie today?" Just felt like a good afternoon for that (and we had the blueberries, so why not?!)
And you can't forget to make enough dough for the leftover cinnamon crusts (learned from mom too!)
