We have had a really nice weekend in Bend... when I arrived at the airport, Joe was waiting with open arms. We stopped off at a pub in town and did some catching up, while his mom made sure Samuel slept okay. :-)
Today was Joe's mom's b-day! So we went on a really nice river walk in Bend (oh wait - Starbucks came first!) For those who don't know... Bend has grown so much over the years, but they have done a nice job developing the river areas, where an old mill used to be... it's just a really nice area. I love it here and always enjoy taking advantage of what it has to offer.
We stopped off at the Juniper Aquatics Center so that Joe could say "hi" to his coach (89-91) - he was glad to meet Samuel!
When we got home, we put Samuel to bed, for his nap, and Joe and I were able to float down the Deschutes river! His parents house is right on the river, so we "launched" and headed out! It was fabulous - I could do this EVERY sunny day! Completely peaceful, calm and beautiful...
When we got back, Joe's grandma and brother were here, so we enjoyed visiting. Joe and I made dinner for everyone (to give the b-day girl a break!) and we celebrated with a picture slideshow of memories...
