We got our morning started with a walk up to the neighbors (near my folks) so that we could see the goats - but it turned out to be so much more! We saw goats, a rabbit, horses, dogs and Samuel even got to ride on a bike! It was a fun morning for him (well, actually I think we all kind of enjoyed it!) Then he asked grandpa if he would ride on the tractor "pwease." So they took a spin in the field/woods one more time (and even saw some more deer!)
Then mom made us some yummy coffee drinks and while we were enjoying them, we got the call that our friends were getting ready to fly back from Boise, ID and would be picking us up on an hour or so. So it was off to the La Grande airport we went. (Keep in mind this process is very small-scale and easy. It was really hassle free and nice to be able to walk right up to the plane, from the little parking lot and get in!) So we said our good-bye's to grandma and grandpa and headed west.
We are now back and home... and back to reality. No more playing "rock stars" on a private airplane... but it sure was fun to get to experience the special treatment for the weekend AND get to spend time with my parents...
