Joe and a friend headed North to into Washington State to watch Linfield play Pacific Lutheran (big rivals) in football - so he has been gone all day (but he just let me know Linfield WON, so that was good to hear!)
Anyway... Samuel and I spent the day together and that was fun. I appreciate time with him because it doesn't come than often with work and school. I honestly do have to admit though, that it is a challenge to keep him happy and content these days! I had to think of some fun things to keep him busy, as he is used to having planned activities all day long at school. So we painted (twice!), played with a new airplane I found, made roads with blue paint tape and ate French fries and ketchup!
When naptime came... I was so ready for a break (we started at 6am this morning, as usual.) But he only slept 2 hours vs. the normal 3, so that was a bit tough. I didn't get to tackle some of the "me" things I needed to do... but I guess in the scheme of life - it was better to spend those moments with Samuel! :-)
