A package was waiting on the doorstep when we got home! From Grandma S.!!! She had got Samuel some books to work on his colors and numbers AND she had made him a scrapbook of our trip to visit them last month. Samuel carefully looked through the book and took in all the pictures - it was cute. (Thanks Mom!)
And thanks to Grandma B. who stayed here last night to help Joe with his field trip yesterday! Talk about last-minute planning and requests! :-) Joe has conferences tonight/tomorrow night, so I am quite sure he will be glad when this week is done. Just a lot going on for us... physically and mentally right now.
So... I had to fly out on a business trip yesterday and was gone for 1 night... I missed the little guy and when I saw this cool airplane in the airport I knew I had to bring it back for him. (Samuel is infatuated with airplanes - we aren't sure when that started, but he spots little specks in the sky and will spend all his time playing with his little airplanes. He just goes crazy over airplanes for some reason!) Anyway, he was so tickled by the gift - which really made my day! It makes noises and lights up, which he thought was pretty cool.
I have to say THANK YOU to Tina, Jon, Daniel and LeeLee... who saved my bacon and picked Samuel up from school today and took him to the playground until I got home from the airport! That was such a relief...
Other? I am tired... pretty worn out. Sometimes it just feels like life is beating me in the race. But it sure was good to get home to a boy who wanted to snuggle and be held tonight.
