Mixing Days

The pictures show Samuel looking cheerful and happy... but truth-be-told, he has been at home sick the past 2 days. Poor little guy. These were actually taken last Sunday before heading off to church (but I wanted to post them because I thought they were better than showing the ones of him on the couch, under a blanket, coughing...)

He has some coughing/wheezing thing going on. It is almost an asthma-type of breathing, so we aren't sure what to do. Last time the doctor said he had RSV, which means they can't do anything for it. I assume he would get the same diagnosis this time around. We do have a doctor's appt. scheduled this afternoon, but Joe will play it by ear, depending on how Samuel is doing.

The hardest part about this sickness thing is taking time off. (I stayed with him yesterday and Joe is with him today.) Both Joe and I wiped out most of our days-off last year, when Samuel arrived home from Haiti. I hate working from home and/or having Joe take sick days, but we really have no choice. We have no family in town and it's hard to call up friends (last-minute) and ask if your sick kid can stay with them for the day. :-( And, he probably feels better being in his own home when he is sick. SIGH, SIGH... We are just praying he feels better soon. He seemed much more perky this morning - but we really would like for his cough to get better.
