Wheezing & Barkdust

We have had a really rough weekend with Samuel being sick.  His cough/wheezing are back and we were up until 2am last night with him (he even threw-up 3 times as he gets coughing so much.)  We almost went to the ER because it gets pretty scary (the wheezing and his inability to breathe.)  I know in my heart that there has to be something they can do for him, but despite seeing 3 doctors, via multiple appointments, they have no solutions and say it's RSV and will eventually go better.  But I don't think that is what this is...  Poor little guy.  He lives life and can do normal things during the day, but the wheezing is constant and by nighttime he really struggles and is just worn out.

Anyway - today was bark dust day, so he used his new wheelbarrow to help Joe out.  He was SO excited to be able to play outside – finally got some sunshine!

  1. i am trying to think of the technical name of the guy my doctor called for consultation on anri...don'tknow if it was just an allergy guy or a lung dude...but he even mentioned a lung wash. that was a scary thought. but so was watching our little guy wheeze and struggle to breathe. maybe you should call and allergy/asthma dude, tell them about all the earthquake dust and such. i know...it's been a long time, but there was a lot of crap in the air then. i feel so bad for the little dude. scary for all.

  2. my 3 year old had RSV this past february. our dr gave us a nebulizer and 2 medication that she had to breathe in via the neb. one was a steroid (pulmicort) to help her lungs get over the virus and another was an antibiotic (albuteral) to help clear her airways. both gave her the boost to tackle it and she was better very shortly! good luck!
