Doctor Visit: 5pm

Pictures:
  • Joe, excited by the potential news
  • The children's garden at the hospital (it's beautiful)
Last temperature reading around 4pm = 99.3

Our doctor just stopped by the room again. She came in smiling and said: "things are looking better, aren't they?!"

She said that if his temp continued to track in this range, and his coloring continued to improve, that she is much more comfortable sending him home with antibiotics. She said she would want to potentially schedule the VCUG for tomorrow or Wednesday (assuming we continued to track okay.) She got on the whiteboard and showed us what happens during the reflux (and what the VCUG would show.) She also described Luke's inflammation and used the diagram to show us where it looked to be a bit enlarged (though nothing that was overly concerning right now.)

She did say that if we remain on track, Luke might get released TOMORROW! It would be so nice to be home... (and we could actually spend some time with my folks before they have to head back home on Tuesday.)

We decided we will both stay overnight in Luke's room again tonight - hopefully it will be the last one!
