Luke weighed 9lbs, 14oz., so not much weight gain since the last appointment - but also not bad considering he isn't keeping much down right now. The doctor checked both his urine and blood. His white blood count was still a bit low, but better than it was in the hospital. The doctor said things look pretty good - but to start giving Luke Pedialyte in place of formula for 24 hours, to see how he does. He said if he is able to keep that down, then switch back to see how he does on formula. He said if he has issues with the Pedialyte, then they would probably have him back to the hospital for an ultrasound on his stomach... otherwise, he thinks he might have stomach flu.
I felt so bad while they took blood (from his foot.) He was crying so hard because he was dehydrated and it was tough to get the blood out... Poor thing... I wish he could know what "normal" feels like for awhile...
Joe called and said made it to Bend safe and sound... they will head to Roseburg early in the morning.
