| Samuel set the table AND THEN... put napkins under the silverwear! |
After my last blog post (which I please ask that you read, if you haven’t already…)
Two reminders that God “whispered” to me, occurred (and I have pictures of both!) J
FIRST: I forgot to take the pictures off of my camera… Joe’s mom and Grandma made the trip over from Bend/LaPine, OR yesterday (a 3.5 hour trip!) to watch Luke, just so I could go to a hair appointment. How nice is that? I was so thankful that I really can't even say thank-you BIG enough.
SECOND: At dinner tonight, I was having Samuel help me by putting plates, silverware and salt/pepper on the table (while I was grilliing.) He was SO HAPPY to help me, which makes my heart smile. And then I remembered we needed napkins. So I gave him 3 napkins for “mommy, daddy and Sam.” A few moments later (when I looked at the dinner table), I almost started to cry. Samuel had put the napkins UNDER our silverwear! He knew where to put napkins as a 3-year-old! We didn’t teach him this – it’s just his perception. He watches our every move and wants to “get it right.”
I LOVE THIS KID… right now he and Joe and playing “trains” downstairs and I am feeling completely blessed.
And… Luke is asleep. It is finally peaceful, with only the quiet lull of the dishwasher in the background…
