Sunday... Sunday...

We are all a bit messed up due to that loss of one hour. It never makes sense to me how a one hour difference can cause such a disruption. The boys are both napping right now - they should have been up over an hour ago. So we are enjoying a bit of extended "quiet time" today.

As you can see by the pictures, Samuel has been out and about, enjoying his new, cool Spiderman boots! He wants to wear them all of the time. I had to put my foot down when he asked to add them to his church attire this morning. :-)

A couple of updates on Mr. Luke...

1) His first word is officially "Dada."  There is no question about it. Joe clearly won out on this bet!

2) He is teething - really teething. Poor guy. I can feel the bottom teeth making their way into the world. I can't imagine how painful that must be for a baby... we are trying everything to sooth him, including a bath earlier today, but it's pretty limited on what we can do to help him. This afternoon, we were both trying to calm him down on our bed and he finally "crashed-out" from exhaustion (as did both of his parents!) It would have made for a funny picture.

Church this morning was good... the focus was on not defining ourselves by the standards of the world: not our jobs, not our sports activities, not our worth, etc... And Samuel was a happy kiddo when we picked him up afterward, so that was good. Luke... no-so-much. The poor lady holding him said he had quite a time with his teething pain and she felt so bad for him.

It has been a really nice weekend... I hate to see it leave us.

  1. Try Hyland's homeopathic teething tablets. They work wonders for teething babies. I lived by them when my daughter was going thru it.
