What a great kid he is... Samuel helped me feed Rachel, while Joe took Luke to pickup the pizza for dinner tonight. I was working to get things cleaned up and set the table, so Samuel said he would be glad to help me out!
So, tonight, I told him I would take him on a walk for ice cream, once Luke was asleep. Samuel went to bed when Luke did (well, he was supposed to "pretend" to go down, in order to help Luke go to sleep.) But, when I went into to get Samuel - he was fast asleep! I was going to let him sleep (little boys who play hard in the pool all day need their rest) but then decided we were on vacation and I wanted to keep my promise to him, as he was looking forward to getting ice cream. So I woke him up from his deep sleep and off we went! He was so excited - and the walk was fun and the ice cream was delicious! It was good time together.
Once we got back here, Joe had him sit out on the balcony and watch for bats... As soon as the first one showed up - I headed indoors! And I think I somewhat scared Samuel, as he decided not to stay out there either. But he still says he loves bats! :-)
A fun night, indeed!
