Disneyland: Day One

What a GREAT day! Everything from getting to sit in the cockpit, to seeing the fireworks! Samuel has had one busy day, but has been so patient and fun... Meeting the pilot's was pretty cool for this little airplane-lover! And for me to sit back and appreciate!

We got stuck on two rides (Haunted House and our second trip on Splash Mountain - for which we got free Fast Passes...) But other than that, it has been smooth sailing!
His biggest "ask" was to see the fireworks tonight, so we made sure to prioritize that one! We got there early and found a good spot... and waited patiently, did some people-watching and played "I Spy." We also did a little video-chatting with Joe (who is missed!)

He has done so great on the rides - no fear on Splash Mountain or Space Mountain. We also got drenched in the Grizzly River Run and he loved it. :-) HOWEVER, the comment after Haunted House was: "That was creepy." He has no desire to go back to that tone (funny kid!)
As you can see by the last picture - he is worn out... but has a happy heart (as does his mom!)

I love this kid...

BTW - are the shorts getting REALLY short these days? Or am I just getting old?!
