Samuel and I headed back to Disneyland after taking a bit of a break in our hotel room. We then got on the train and rode around Disneyland - glad we did that! When we hit Main Street Station, we got the call that the Downes Family had arrived, so we met them for lunch in New Orleans. We ended up having a really fun time this afternoon with them! We were able to enjoy lunch together and then went on a few rides, etc. (the lines were LONG so it was limited to a walk to the Pooh Ride, which was temporarily closed down, Pirates of the Caribbean, a pit-stop for eating chips and then on to Buzz Lightyear.) But Catherine and I had good time to chat, which was great! Our family-life journey's are very similar, so we had a lot to catch up on... and I applaud her SO MUCH bringing the boys PLUS her 3-week old baby (having just been there, I know how hard it is to make a trip like this happen!)
The boys had a great time (ups & downs, but typical for this age!) And made it to the phase of giving big hugs when it was time to say good-bye. SO GLAD we had the opportunity to meet this beautiful family!
Samuel and I then watched a bit of the Disney Parade, did a bit of shopping and are now hanging out in the room... Time for some down-time. Samuel has his heart set on going to the fireworks again tonight, so we will see... I guess he can sleep on the plane tomorrow if he needs to.
