We had Samuel and Luke try out a parks & rec play area this morning, while we went grocery shopping. It worked out pretty well and they seemed to have a good time playing. And once we got home, we decided to spend our last full day with Grandma Sharon, relaxing and enjoying the day at home. Mom and I started off by making a yummy blueberry/blackberry cobbler, while Joe worked in the yard with his new rototiller! We also got the little pool filled up with WARM water (yes, that meant hauling buckets of hot water from the house!) for the boys and hooked up the sprinkler. They had another fine time playing together - and we had a great time watching them (and visiting too!)
We then BBQ'd some chicken kabobs & corn-on-the-cob for dinner (good stuff!) And then we enjoyed watching a movie while eating our delicious cobbler!
It was a very nice day... we will go to church in the morning, hang out with mom for a while and then she will head back on the late afternoon Amtrak train...
Did I mention it is going to be very hard to see her go? sigh...
