The program is call UPWARD and so far I am impressed... They are very organized - something I very much appreciated! I guess there are 532 kids signed up for the program this year, so being organized would be a must!
It was so much fun for the kids as they have flashing lights, a tunnel and entrance to enter into the gym (they even call out their names.) It is neat for the kids to get this experience. I won't say that the game was filled with amazing skills or anything (after all, they are 5-year-olds!) But it sure was fun to watch Samuel play the game I love! He was also playing against his friend, Drew, so that was fun too. After the game, they met for snacks and each kid received a "star of recognition" to iron-on their t-shirt.
Luke watched "most" of the game. He was taking it all in at first (a bit overwhelmed by everything, I think...) but then decided "enough-was-enough" and needed to go exploring, so Joe and I took turns. Rachel slept through almost the entire game...
