Today was all about Haiti...

Since we can't help but think of Haiti today... we took time to watch "Samuel's Story", said prayers for the people of Haiti, put up our Haitian flag and decided to make a special dinner using some favorite Haitian recipes. The boys had so much fun helping make the meal, which made it really special. We made corn pudding (with vanilla extract from Haiti), beans & rice, fried plantains and mangos!

I think Samuel really appreciated it, since he is starting to put all the pieces together about his life...

I love these kiddos with all of my heart. And it's really fun to watch them work together on things - especially things that really mean something. I hope to make this a tradition each year - something that our whole family can do together.

Here is the video on Samuel's Story:  https://www.dropbox.com/s/be96y5tbr0y8v4r/2%20Haiti%20to%20Home%202013_11_26%20FINAL.wmv
